Return to Wholeness Original

$5,500.00

This original 36” x 48” oil painting is gallery-wrapped and ready to hang as is, or it could be framed. Return to Wholeness was painted as a way to celebrate both women and the Hawaiian Islands. She will help viewers align with their inner resilience and adaptability.

Return to Wholeness is surrounded by the ocean and sky. She wears sunrise shells on her feet, which symbolize new beginnings, hope, and strength. She wears the ocean as her skirt and the uluhe fern as her belt. The uluhe fern represents resilience and perseverance. The heat and smoke of the lava flow upward to her solar center (personal power). Her heart space opens to make way for the manu-o-Kū, a bird well known for its ability to adapt and thrive. The North Star represents truth and destiny (how we use our words). She wears the butterfly ginger flower as her headdress and ti leaves as her feathered wings. She stands as a guardian over the fragile reef from which the manini feed. She awaits the turning of the tide and the restoration of balance.
